Ballroom Dancing
 
This group is in recess with some members attending the monthly Tea Dance at Liston Hall.
Book Group A
1st Thursday at 1400
This group meets to discuss a chosen book (usually modern fiction) each month with all contributing to the discussion.
Book Group B
2nd Monday at 1400
This group borrows a set of books each month from the local library to discuss at the following meeting. Discussions are wide ranging and interesting.
Book Group C
2nd Wednesday at 1400
Members chose a book for each month (usually a contemporary novel but sometimes a biography) and many aspects of the book are discussed in a friendly and lively atmosphere.
Book Group D

Members will choose and discuss books each meeting.
Bowls - lawn
Periodic
Introduction to flat green lawn bowls by a 4 week taster in summer and indoor bowls in winter.
Bridge - friendly duplicate
Fridays 1430
The group meets every Friday with up to 7 tables to play friendly duplicate Bridge.

This group of 12-14 members meets to play Mah Jong - a Chinese game of strategy.  Majhong Hong Kong Style only differs in minor scoring detail from the classical Chinese version.

Main purpose is to maintain a contact list of people wishing to get together for fun and companionship.  This has now extended into members organising outings.

Members meet to taste and enjoy puddings!  Each member makes ( or buys) a pudding and we exchange recipes, tips etc. There is usually a suggested theme for the meeting and members  with any level of cooking ability are welcome.

This mixed ability group plays TenPin bowling at Maidenhead. In August and September, Petanque is played instead. All welcome.

The conveners arrange up to a dozen outings a year to concerts, opera, plays, ballet etc. All welcome
Travel

To date the members of this group have met and enjoyed talks on a wide range of places and issues involved in travel.
Walks
as and when
A walk is arranged most weeks covering 4 - 7 miles through the Chilterns or along the Thames. The leader of each walk decides the starting point, route & degree of difficulty and this information is published in the Newsletter.

Wine appreciation A

The group meets in members' homes and each month the host presents 5-6 wines for tasting. Often a theme is chosen and our knowledge of wines is being expanded.
