Digital Photography

2010

For the first quarter, Ann Mary will be having up to 12 people in her home reviewing old topics.  These sessions are on a first come first serve basis and will take place on 6th Jan and 3rd Feb, between 1400 and 1600 at 2 Barbers Wood Close, Booker, High Wycombe, HP12 4EW.  If you were not at the December meeting and are interested, please contact Ann Mary Tel: 01494 523231.  The March date is yet to be confirmed.

For 2nd, 3rd and 4th Quarter 2010 there will be one meeting each quarter which will either consist of members having a "field" day where we go to one place and everyone take photos of whatever they want, e.g. Marlow.  These will then be shared afterwards or alternatively having more really good external speakers.

       David Watson, a local freelance photographer, shared with us what he does when taking photos of famous people and celebrities whilst working for the National Trust, National Maritime museum and Kew Gardens.  David went down extremely well, so we will hopefully be asking him to come back again towards the end of 2010.

      Picasa - free from Google
      Coral Pint Shop Pro - approx. £38
      Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 - approx. £70
     Two other packages were referred to:-
     GIMP - free which gives a lot more functionality than Picasa
     Lightbroom - approx £180
